All applicants undergo in-person interviews by a Camp USA staff member or a trained cooperator and must include 2 references and a police background check with their applications. Easy Re-Hiring Process for Returning Staff - For camp directors who have returning staff or have found international staff on their own, our Pre-Placed program provides participants with the appropriate documentation to apply for their J-1 Visas. Medical insurance and 24-hour support throughout the summer are also included. Participants pay program fees directly to Camp USA, and there is no additional cost to camp directors. Dedicated and Experienced Camp USA Program Coordinators - Your Camp USA program coordinator runs every element of the program from start to finish. Our New York office staff travel to many participants' home countries to interview them in person before accepting them into the program. We also get to know each camp's unique philosophy and culture by speaking with every camp director and visiting camps during the summer. In addition to placement, we personally handle flights, insurance, billing, visa paperwork and every other detail involved in hiring international staff. When you call us, you'll never be transferred to another department or speak to someone who is unfamiliar with your camp. Attention to Detail - Camp USA wants to make our participants' experience as smooth and positive as possible. We provide our participants with transatlantic flights, orientations in their home countries and New York City and assistance with traveling to camp. We also have 24-hour program support for all participants and camp directors for the duration of the summer.
